Former Princeton President Samuel Davies made his mark as a scholar and patriot that became a traditional exhortation of the university’s succeeding presidents. I quote “Whatever be your place, imbibe and cherish a public spirit. Serve your generation.” What a fitting reminder for us that the real essence of UPLB as a national university is defined by our individual and collective commitment and willingness to work together and serve the Filipino people. Hence, my vision for UPLB: ONE UNIVERSITY, ONE GOAL, ONE DESTINY.
